it sure is amazing how aol's mkt cap is so, so much higher than one of the top 3 or 4 tv networks.

Its this community thing, personal contact and critical mass - which is exactly what SI has, btw. Well, thats my opinion. Once you are crowned king of the community site, there is no way to knock you off your throne it seems no matter how icky your technology is (aol and for that matter si). Can anybody think of a company that built a thriving online community that lost their way?

I won't short those companies because I think they are so valuable... theres a bunch of software companies masquerading as dot coms and I think those are better shorts, we know what software companies are supposed to be worth.
