Chimnoy Namaste.

I am also a big fan of streaming media and was heartened to see AOL finally dip its feet in the water with these two recent acquisitions.

It is not my understanding that xDSL is broadband.

I suppose this is merely a matter of symantics. DSL and cable modems both seem to provide much greater bandwidth than standard modems. I consider both to be potent broadband solutions, although I think cable modems probably have greater potential.

I do not claim that @Home or its sales reps are perfect. However, I have never heard of anyone who has tried a cable modem who has willingly switched back to a regular modem.

my point is that as long as the technology is not there yet...

The technology is most assuredly there today. It simply takes a bit of time for proliferation to reach critical mass. Be patient.

I do not mean to suggest that T is a better company than AOL. Both are fine companies and sound core holdings.
