Brown on Wednesday said it raised its rating on Primus Telecommunications Group Inc. to strong buy from buy. -- no other details immediately available. -- On Monday AT&T Canada Corp. entered into a deal to sell the residential side of its long-distance operation to Primus in a deal valued at C$57 million. The deal will give PRIMUS an additional 650,000 voice customers and 50,000 Internet/data customers in Ontario and eastern Canada. -- Primus shares were up 9/16 to 18 on Wednesday morning.
