It isn't necessarily a ceiling. But it encourages shorting, especially in an environment like this. Traders who are bearish on the net - and SFE - will be all over the bond offering. They will essentially get paid to stay short and wait for the stock to crater.

This is looking more and more like the old days of the Iomega frenzy. Emerald Research was at the center of the rise and collapse of that stock in 1996. Reiterated buys all the way down.
