The bands are formed as far as direction and closeness together a little each day. A stock that ignores support for some reason will cause the lower band to drop lower just as a rising stock will cause the upper band to clime as a stock ignores upper resistance.

The law of the bands in general is that a stock tends to gravitate to the next band when it make contact with one or the other.

I like big charts for bollinger and not askresearch.
