Dell's average selling price used to be close to $2000 per machine. Most experts agree the average selling price for "average" PCs will be around 500 bucks in a few years. There is just no way to squeeze 400 dollars of profit out of a 500 dollar machine.

With your trading strategy you can certainly trade dell if you buy at 29 this time around, look how slow it moves.... but don't buy to hold, its going down. Cpq is way overvalued here too I think, but I haven't looked recently, theres an uncertainty factor there which is artificial, its actually in worse shape than Dell.

Who will lead the rally if anyone?

YHOO, which led last week's rally, is still about 10 points above last week's interday low of 120, but it seems very weak today. AMZN is about 6 bucks BELOW last weeks low of 104. AOL close to even. The slow steady nature of today's decline, coupled with the lack of a snap back rally above 100 concerns me. Further, I thought the BKS/Ingram news would be a catalyst to the thing today.
