>>Wiz, I'm somewhat surprised to see you so bullish on Amzn.

I am not so bullish on AMZN stock at the moment and don't own it. I jumped on to this thread to discuss the Barrons article written by someone unqualified to do a public hatchet job for what is otherwise a decent publication. However, I have since been sucked in to retort the reported net income and tangible book value enthusiasts on this thread.

Amazon's business on the other hand is quite good. Its when you see 50% corrections off of good businesses that gets me to check-in and see if there is an opportunity. I still think AOL is the stock to buy in this group given it is off 35% and is as sure a thing as there is in the wild and wooly world of internets. I would accumulate AOL at current prices and sleep like a baby (even on a little margin). I am undecided on AMZN at this point. At some price, it will be a great buy as long-term value is being created at a phenomenal rate. Its just that you have to weigh that against the psychology of bigger net losses in the near-term and all the non-fundamental factors that go into the internets (small float, day-trader zealousness, margin calls, overheated internet IPO market etc...).
