He liked Bradley a lot, because he was down- to- earth and friendly to staff, and disliked Patton for being a popinjay...

That's funny. My dad was saying the very same thing last Monday. Bradley was loved by his troops. My folks literally walked into Bradley in Detroit in front of a hotel. Weren't watching where they were walking. Patton was very difficult to serve under, something you hear from a lot of those who had the honor. Dad was much happier when General Patch took over the Division.
