limtex, If everyone thinks the market is about to get really sick, that is not the selling opportunity you should be looking for. That is usually the best time to buy, IMHO of course.

Sell? Why? If you are a long term buy and holder, why do you want to pay the tax? Depending on how long you held, MSFT would have to go down a whole lot more to justify taking the cap gain hit.

If you are a trader, you should have been shorting since yesterday.
