The short-term indicators for many of the net and high-tech sector stocks look oversold. But the accumulation v. distribution indicators are very bearish. This correlates with the end of the loosening trend by the Fed, negative flows from foreign investors, and money flowing out of Internet sector and other highly valued stock funds and into cyclicals and value growth stocks. I think this trend will continue. The climate is setting up for nice returns in ignored small cap stocks and cyclicals throughout the next several months. For the next 2-3 months there should be opportunities for picking up these stocks. I think the nets will come back to life before next Fall/Christmas - as the focus shifts back again toward the phenomenal growth of ecommerce and away from the fact that most are losing tons of money.
