Depends on what you think is short term. From my observations, most markets see the end with a spike in interest rates (could go up for a year) followed by the predictable decline as no-one is loaned money any more. If herd think is inflationary - I think they got this one right (temporarily at least)

The only people experiencing inflation (or lessened purchasing power) are people who have a housing budget, food budget or energy budget. It will be interesting to see the manifestations of oil price increases as they make their way through the resins and chemicals industry. I have already noticed that prices charged for resins are on the upswing. Only a matter of time before reflected in consumer prices if demand for things keeps up. imo
