JUN 2, 1999, M2 Communications - The X-Stream Network, a UK free
Internet service provider, has partnered with Virtualplus to provide a
free unified messaging service to the subscribers of its Internet
service. Users of the new unified messaging service will receive a
unique phone number which will be configured to accept both voicemails
and faxes and which will then deliver these messages to the user's
e-mail inbox via audio and TIF files respectively. This will enable
users to access the messages at their discretion. The unified messaging
service will be available on 3 June. A free X-StreaMail e-mail service
account, which is available as part of X-Stream's Internet service, can
be set up at mail.x-stream.co.uk.
