OT Robin Hood--I think it would have been better to teach to the rich to share with the poor instead of robbing them
Correction:
I meant to say--teach/educate the rich to share with the poor reducing the need for Robin Hoods.
Just look at Bill Gates---he stated that most of wealth will go to charities. The "educated wealthy" will behave this way. By educated, I mean, people who have realized that giving brings more satisfaction than getting. The super rich realize this. If we get more and more capitalistic and the average wealth increases, we should more money being given voluntarily rather than taken in taxes(Robin Hood).
As we get more and more examples of this giving, it would encourage more people to do it---bringing more satisfaction to peoples' lives. Maybe this is just a hope.

those who have won life's lottery

Bad! Unless you mean "old money" only, the better phrase is "those who've succeeded through hard work and risk taking to amass wealth." When you use the phrase you just used then you've already conceded half the field.

The core of the redistributionist Left philosophy is that wealth was somehow stolen from those who never had it and must therefore be returned to them.
