Coincidentally, I was just thinking that the longer I remain invested, the more I am convinced that the alleged collective wisdom of the "market" and the "gurus" and other participants of Wall Street is bunk. There is little, if any, rhyme or reason to so-called "price discovery" and day-to-day prices. Sentiment and chance reign supreme.

For instance, I am convinced that the likelihood this week of the Fed tightening interest rates is approximately equal to the likelihood last week or a month ago, and that the intrinsic value of Sun shares hasn't changed by 25% in the past month (about what their price has dropped). There is no "why" where the market is involved, other than the chance sequencing of buyers and sellers.

Only in the very long term does rational pricing usually win out over noise, and the noise is already deafening and getting louder.

JMHO.
