Trey: Agreed. CS has been undervalued by virtue of the strength of its Balance Sheet, and far too discounted by investor fears of it's competitors. That's good for value hunters. I believe that CS has worked out the kinks of the marketplace and past inefficiencies, and is now poised for profitability.

CS has been blitzing Southern California with radio ads for about a month. Cable news channels such as CNBC have also been airing CS ads here quite frequently for the same amount of time. The message, patterned after the old Nasdaq commercials, is effective, although the name "Cabletron Systems" appears late in the ad, and is somewhat mired in the "customer names" that precede it.

My guess is that whether or not there is a buy-out in the offing, CS is trying to increase its profile to the public and potential customers. I'm long with or without a buy-out.

Cheers.

Scott

You cannot tell me that CS rose 100% while the market dropped due to people loving the stock. The stock is near it's 52 week high with no news to drive it other than the rumor.
