(just an interesting side note)

No offense, but your theory sounds really familiar to a card counting method I use to use in Reno. Essentially the method involved assigning values to each card and just keeping a total in mind. If the total was above a certain threshold, it meant (don't hit on a 12)... below meant 'hit'. It worked pretty good. But not always.
