In your experience what period setting do you find works the best for the Chande Momentum with short term trading (2-5 days). I've been playing with the numbers for a while but it seems to be stock dependant and I like to keep my settings the same for every stock.

P.S... A programming buddy of mine is writing the 4 pole low and high pass filter for Metastock. When I get it up and running I will post it.

I'd welcome a "no trade" indicator, where, no matter what all the other indicators say, you still don't trade..

:)

if(close = 0, 1, 0)

Should do the trick.

(Some folks won't initiate a long trade if MACD 13-34-89 is underwater. All depends on style and time frame)
