Well, I haven't waded into today's thread message set yet,
but read all of Sun and Mon after yesterday's close,
and my heart was in my shoes with that plunge.

Good to see some dissipation of the IBM FUD,
and a nice bounce back, although not all the way
back to last week's prices.

Now breathing again,
George

Zeev and thread,

This is an informative post from Tenchusatsu on the INTC thread. From my readings, it seems as if the Timna chip is very good news that we have focused on. Perhaps the techies could disect for us less inclined!?

<Would you agree that based on the information published yesterday on Timna, its design takes advantage of Rambus best qualities.>

Only now did I find out about the published info on Timna supporting RDRAM. I was away on vacation over the Memorial Day weekend, so I missed all the hub-bub regarding the published info.

Yes, Timna's integrated RDRAM controller makes the best use of RDRAM's qualities. Perhaps this puts a new light on why Intel is so gung-ho on pushing Rambus and RDRAM development and infrastructure.

Of course, the press seems to be obsessed with magnifying all of the negatives when it comes to anything associated with Intel, whether it be Rambus, Timna, Merced, or whatever.
