f - I personally wondered about the same thing but several people in the CPQ field who use these systems said that there has been more progress in the last 6 months under cappellas than in the 3 years under John White. They pointed out that this is also the period when the DEC and Tandem systems were supposed to be integrated - so cappellas had to understand a number of "foriegn" businesses and develop a plan for integration, including all of the business and people impact. I guess I would give him the benefit of the doubt since the people most directly affected seem to think he is doing well.
