Dave, I think I understand you now.

The thing is, #1RS should take an estimated 75 days to drill from 11,000' to 19,000'.

Cal Canal should take an estimated 120 days to drill from 0' to somewhere around 16,000' (Temblor at 15,000' plus estimated 800-1000' thick).

The Cal Canal will involve approximately twice as much drilling.
You are correct in that the upper portion of all of these wells does drill quite quickly.

The #1RS sidetrack only has one more (time consuming) string of casing to run before entering the Temblor. The Cal Canal well has three, I think.

The time estimates that the oil companies are giving us are very approximate. I wouldn't place too much faith in them.
As an example, the Chevron/Berkley/Purcell well at Fort Liard was only drilled to around 11,000', but was completed 6 weeks ahead of schedule.
Another example is our Bellvue #1 well, scheduled to TD in early September last year. It never did reach it's intended TD when it blew in late November, almost 3 months behind schedule.

Perhaps our #1RS well will TD in 50 days, and perhaps in 100 days.
It's all irrelevant really. It happens when it happens. Why worry about it?

Regards,
Rick.
