Jay,

There are only four sources for high capacity mass storage flash memory:
Hitachi, Toshiba, Samsung and Sandisk. Hitachi announced a 256Mb flash last year but they have not shipped anything yet.
Simple(as well as Kingston, PNY, Viking, Smart Modular...)is just an integrator. Hitachi, Samsung and Toshiba pay royaity to sandisk according to Eli Harari.

Intel also make flash but theirs is of a different type.

Derek

Jay and Thread,

I am still carrying the SanDisk torch on the Gorilla Game thread and will continue to update you as my treatise on SanDisk as a long term investment nears completion. I added another chapter last night. This is the link if anybody is following along.
