Len, The problem IMO is that war, preoccupation with war, or so-called "defense" is at complete odds with environmentalism.. A military person can NEVER be an environmentalist.. One bomb in Yugoslavia has negated a lifetime of MY own conservationism and environmentalism.. WAR material, by definition is to DESTROY. Never to be used again.. A bomb blows up.. It's made once, blown up, never to be recycled, like a beverage can.. This in addition to the impact it makes, the toxics used to make it and so on.. If people can learn to live WITHOUT FEAR and GREED, the environment would be so much better off. Best Wishes... Coug
