Don: Re: "Both justabid.com and bobbrinker.com shares closed at record highs, however Microsoft shares remained far below their old high as nervous shareholders became concerned that Gates had lost his marbles by upping his takeover bid."

Yeah, my shares surged 75% in 15 minutes as long term investors stepped up to the plate. I fell like a new stiff now. And to think I was going to end it all this morning because of my huge paper losses.

Re:"Reports now say Justawerkinstiff and Brinker could divide over $200 billion if the deal goes through."

Yeah, and I have spent all day trying to figure if I should lump sum that amount into Amazon or DCA over a year.

Re: "In a new wrinkle, justabid.com has announced it may never turn
a profit ever, no matter how long it remains in business."

Hey, you could get in trouble for leaking our proprietary business model to the general public. Oh, I forgot. This is a sound business approach these days. Silly me

Re: "Justawerkinstiff remains in seclusion somewhere near Albany NY
trying to figure out whether he wants to take the money and
run or continue building losses for the future."

And you can see Justa sweat bullets at our new web camera site: sweatandstiff.com. Only those over 18 can access. Oh yeah, it costs $29.95 per minute.

Re: "Bob Brinker is reportedly on the golf course and did not seem to care much about any of it."

Looks like I found my new CFO.

re: Brinker was reportedly on the golf course and did not seem to care much about any of it.

The rumors on Fleet Street now have it that Brinker has been negotiating to use the profits of this deal to buy the Pebble Beach Golf Course which recently went on the block for around $1 Billion. The rumor continues that Brinker not only wants to play golf full time but on his very own premiere golf course as well <g>

Don,

>>>
Justawerkinstiff remains in seclusion somewhere near Albany NY
trying to figure out whether he wants to take the money and
run or continue building losses for the future.
>>>
This appears to be true. Apparently, Justa is being aggressively pursued to donate heavily to some political race; thus, he remains in seclusion.

>>>
Brinker was reportedly on the golf course and did not seem to care much about any of it.
>>>
Smart man.

Also, Ralph Acampora of Prudential Securities raises its DJIA target from 11,500 to 12,500-13,000... Sounds like the much awaited summer rally may be here.
