Today was great for trading both the nets and techs. Older earnings plays like INTU,MACR,ADBE,ADRX were excellent as well as some of the newer plays (MDT,BMET, etc), and VRIO, an unanticipated play. Others discovered AMAT, XLNX, RIMM, etc. We have been treading very lightly in the last 2 weeks. I've haven't held a position in an internet stock since I sold my NITE, SWS and NTBK.. weeks ago and way before the corrections. I haven't been 'accumulating shares' which really means (accumulating losses)..I haven't been 'adding to positions' which is another phrase for "adding new losses to already losing position" I have been buying puts up until Monday of this week and swingtrading the earnings plays and daytrading some options. But when there was a hint of a reversal, (which I anticipated after 1:30 today), I bought and traded and made the most of it.

While others are analyzing, deciphering with fancy technical indicators, chart patterns that look like the major arteries on the California Freeway digesting what has occurred, what is likely to occur and when to return to the nets/techs, we will have already traded and made money. .. ... Don't overanalyze, just go with the flow.

If tomorrow is the same, that would be great, but if not, I'll be prepared also. You can't know what tomorrow will bring, or when a bottom occurs, you can just take it as it comes.. The plays are so oversold that with just a small 'push' they give 3-7 points intraday. That's plenty of profit in my book.

So why hold questionable stocks for 3-4 days?

E-mail: thanks for all the e-mail this evening but there was no time to answer all of them. As for kindly giving 'permission' to post some them as testamonials either on the website or on the thread, we don't need to. I like to use the Market Gems thread ONLY to show results in real time and not 'testimonials'.. Calling trades before they rise(not after the fact) and closing them on the thread. This is a serious and, I hope, a 'professional' thread and not a vehicle for promotional gimmicks or carnival favors. All advertising will be relegated to PM's and e-mail. and the rest we pay for like any successful stock selection site.

We are embarking on two rather far reaching partnerships with Telescan-Wall Street City and A.B. Watley and their alliance with Market Gems is all the 'advertising' we will ever need. The thread will be for our intraday updates, posting of results (that are seen and not just stated like the long lists of "actual trades" seen on websites. Ours is more like a 'track record in real-time').. and occasional messages to subscribers are all we need. We will keep the thread free of 'testimonials', 'and stick with the work at hand. Thanks for your support.. and all the e-mails.
