We inherited one like that from my father-in-law. It was a 1976 Chevy Caprice Estate station wagon, sort of a Harvest Gold color with fake wood siding. We called it "The Yellow Peril." You could watch the gas gauge dropping when you drove it, especially with the air conditioning on. We are talking gallons per mile. I am sure if we ever hit anything in it, we never felt a thing.
