Just before reading your posting, I was about to post that anyone annoyed by cows crossing the road should check out New Zealand, parts of which feel like one everlasting sheep crossing....

I had an interesting "race" with some pronghorn antelopes once, they are much smarter than cattle. I can see how sheep would be much worse than cows. We don't have too many sheep here in New Mexico.
