great article Richard, thanks (quess we will see it in the gazette in a couple days)

I finally get to see what % of total revenue e-bill is worth;
2001 projected rev is $450M, of which e-bill is 20-25%

Great, Great article Richard!

For one, you have confirmed to me (via article) what I had been told by the PR dept of IFM---They will make $175 mIllion this year!

And..<<the U.S. mortgage
industry. That's a multi-billion-dollar opportunity we think. We also
have a first mover advantage in that market. We're there and no
one else is. >>

<<<The Montreal outfit processes hundreds of
thousands of mortgages electronically at $5 U.S. each, and is
starting to generate terrific traffic in Internet payments on behalf
of customers. >>>

Can you belive that-'no one else there'! Didn't realize it-but a lot of revenue will come from this.

Again quoteing the PR lady whotold be about "very good recurrent business"--Guess its the mortgage business. Great! we havent scratched the surface on the others.

<<<primary competitors? >>>

Sterling & Harbinger -I knew-but Cybercash!! as e-bill--surprised.
Was convinced CKFR--with its signing of 50 of top 100 billers would be!

Can anyone tell me why Cybercash??

On acquisitions---<<<<, it's that there just aren't that
many companies of significant size that you could actually buy.
It's going to be a building thing, too. >>>

So it looks like IFM plan on buying several small companies and buid from the inside too.

Richard-good scoop--confirmed many things for me

<< But the problem isn't so much the price, it's that there just aren't that many companies of significant size that you could actually buy. It's going to be a building thing, too.>>

So IFM is the market leader!
or the alternative would be to acquired your competitor
