Then you don't use RSI and stochastics for trend? ADX what is your trend trigger? Have you used any of the others?

Not sure what you mean by Oscillator. I think most of the listed indicators in my post were.

I looked at the ADX quite a while back and found it to be a lagging indicator for short term. So while I use it for the strength of the trend, I do not use it to enter/exit a trade.

Maybe I was using the wrong time frame.

Christopher- Your friend Murphy refers to the MACD histogram as both a trend indicator and an oscillator. When above the zero line it is considered long. I believe Richard uses it as his main tool ( 13-34-89 histogram). Here is a look at the indicator on the Dow 30.
