Just a comment on the Sprout deal. It's nonexlusive, but Borders owns 20% of Sprout. What does this mean? There was a good WSJ article on the deal which detailed the trials and tribulations to be expected making this technology really work. I won't reprint it here. The gist is that we may expect the other booksellers to get in on the same deal as the technology becomes more of age. How much Borders will benefit from being early remains to be seen.

Re: the Ingram merger, it seemed to good to be true in the first place (for BKS). I mean, to get the majority of Amazon's distribution under BKS control? Sly move, but sure seemed to have a lot of red flags for the regulators.
