I don't know--one or two posts a month by me on this thread is probably not going to do either you or Schwab much damage.

What would do a lot of damage would be a genuine bear market, which has not really been seen for over a quarter of a century. Investors freeze up, give up, and stop trading when there is a major decline, and the price of brokerage shares will be squeezed.

There is also a lot of new competition for Schwab, from both directions: the big houses adding e-trading, and the upstarts offering lower commissions. None of its products are unique or proprietary. The stock has been bid up by speculative buying.
