Acacia Research Corp. Names Former Apple Computer Software Manager as Vice President, Technology

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 1999--Acacia Research Corp. (Nasdaq/NM:ACRI) announced that it has named Tony Leung, a 15-year veteran of Apple Computer, as Vice President, Technology.

Leung held a variety of software manager positions at Apple Computer and was responsible for developing and incorporating new technologies into the Macintosh platform.

CEO Paul Ryan stated: "Tony brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Acacia Research and our affiliate companies. He has already refocused the development of the CD WonderWriter(TM) for our MerkWerks subsidiary and has contributed to the new e-mail software service developed by Signature-mail.com. Tony will be a very valuable resource for both our current and future technology companies."

During his career at Apple Computer, Leung led a number of software and engineering teams as a Software Architect and Senior Software Program Manager.

Among his many accomplishments at Apple Computer, he managed teams of engineers who were responsible for developing the innovative multimedia Macintosh, the Quadra 840 AV; contributed to defining the third-generation Macintosh Power PC; and assessed new technology for inclusion in future generations of Macintosh CPUs.

Leung's responsibilities also included analyzing patents related to the Apple/Microsoft cross-patent licensing agreement. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.

I took a profit at 2.40. I still have some shares.

Unless news is released it will not sustain the current levels.

I believe news will come in about two weeks or so.

I hope to buy in below 2 bucks
