If we had a low in 91 in the Bay Area- then the high would be in 2000 give or take a bit, and the next absolute low in 2009 (for us here). But if I remember correctly the job slump here was worst around 86/87- and thus preceded the housing slump, which makes sense. Interest rates were also around 10-12% if I remember right.
