Patton had a high pitched voice, unlike the George C Scott gruffness. But he was profane as hell. Came from a very rich Los Angeles family. San Marino actually, out where the Huntington Library is. Patton's grandfather and great uncles were the officer corp of the Confederacy. Mosby, the famous Confederate raider, was often a visitor at the Patton home when George was a boy.
