I think if you check the CDG web site, you may find that some cities have both the a,b,c carriers in GSM land. Philly may be one of those.

SPRINT PCS covers Phila., the coverage map at sprintpcs.com shows coverage for the airport, and I had NO problem using my QCP-1900 on Sprint network anywhere I went in Phila. area. I didn't land at PHL airport, but I think on another trip I used the phone there. I don't know what is up with your wife's Q phone.

john, this is probably not what you were looking for but: my wife recently couldn't use her Q phone in the Philly Airport {obviously she was also unable to use it outside of Philadelphia}. Not being able to use a cell phone in a major metro airport is just plain weird. I buzzed thru O'Hare the other day and it looked like a cell phone convention. What's with Sprint and Philadelphia? Me not knowing. SM
