Is it LEGAL and ETHICAL for a Market Maker to act the way you claim OR is it that they generally GET AWAY WITH IT?

I don't suspect you'll know the right answer, somehow I doubt you ever LEARNED.

Hi, Anthony, you are still up at 2:31 in the morning! In the above example, going low offer doesn't work if a rival mm, especially an axe, decides to lock or cross the inside market against you. I've seen BEST doing that on numerous occasions. SLKC tends to hide behind REDI when it does this, and I believe GSCO, now that it owns part of ARCA, can easily do the same without exposing the identity (in the past, it usually did this through BTRD or INCA).
