Why? Because I don't necessarily believe in your concept of a proactive God? What's wrong with a creator who simply threw the universe together on a whim then went off to do something else? I'm sorry, but I don't see how my refusal to adopt your highly specific beliefs makes me an atheist. And you know, I now regret the reawakened warmth I was feeling toward you. The fact that you continue to refuse to accept the validity of my view that, for me at least, unanswerable questions are best left unanswered simply proves that your mind is as narrow as I once suspected it to be. I have been accused of being overly harsh to others, but at least I have limited myself to criticizing their failure in my eyes to live up to the belief they claim. I would never presume to dispute their claim to that belief. 'Tis a shame. I really thought you were a better man than this. -BLT
