OT

AT&T is going to bomb big time in local markets.

I'd love to hear your rationale for this statement. Care to post it on the T list?

Mark

Ken,

I strongly disagree with you! Armstrong has AT&T positioned very well now in the local market with his purchases of the 1st and 3rd largest cable companies. I think that you will see some of the Baby Bells getting their heads handed to them once AT&T completes it latest acquisitions. Of course you are probably a Bellhead so it is good to think that they can't compete against you. I just wouldn't bet the farm on it. Watch out! Here comes the AT&T Express to a neighborhood near you!

Cheers,

Steve

Ken,

I think others have responded as I would have already. T is very well positioned in the local market. They can offer more bandwidth, have control over their own "standards" destiny, and with the cable acquisitions are aleady structured for service based pricing models. Once they add voice to the cable offering the LEC's will be in a world of hurt unless the get their collective multiservice over DSL acts together. It's gonna get fun, but one thing is for sure - AT&T will not bomb.
