Mike, I was at the meeting & spoke directly with Chris Cline. When I asked him when, he said it really doesn't matter exactly when because it is definately going to happen. That may sound a little odd at first, but he was very confident. Also said date is totally out of their hands. Think about it a minute... 1 year from now will July rollout vs. say November make much of a difference?

Honestly, it will make a huge difference. Two reasons.

1) You could have made that exact post here starting in 1997 and you could have just kept changing the dates so that the rollout was always 2-3 quarters away, always "just around the corner." IATV has a believability problem here and the best way to tackle it is to just roll the darn product out the door.

2) Difference between July and November (4 months) means 4 months closer to when MSFT rolls out its product, 4 months longer that Wink can take interactive advertising contracts that IATV should be able to compete for, 4 months more for WGAT to get more viewers (they are winning currently... the score is 50,000 viewers to 0).

So yes, there is a HUGE difference there. They promised us 3Q (this is not the first time they promised a delivery date.) Art and some others who were at the annual meeting insist that IATV stated plainly that they plan on releasing in 3Q. So darn it, it had better be 3Q. They have until Sep 30. Let's see what they can do.

(P.S. The Hyper-TV announcement with the music station is a good thing... any idea when the product will be available to the public? I think demos are important, but if you can't tell I want the product to be released... can't make any money if you're not selling anything.)
