Problems with Intels 810 chip. Will this have any carry over to Rambus?

This is a non-issue. The 810 chipset was neither designed nor validated by Intel to work with the Pentium III processor. This chipset was designed for use with the Celeron processor.

richard, to the contrary, this is good news for rmbs. 810 never to support rmbs or pIII . you want rmbs, 820 camino will be there. in fact that article says so. it is coming! the other good news is pc sales up 5.5% this qrt. this is after analysts said sales are slowing. we must step back from the trees and look at the pretty forest. intc should ship in aug. to oems. this stock will respond long before that. the first rmbs enabled pcs. should br on sale in sept. i just got dells new catalog. neat stuff but nothing really new. the oems need rmbs enabled pcs. to move high end merchandise where the profits are. re: smaller dram manufacturers going under. they know the future is rmbs and don't have the money to upgrade their plants. there is no money in older memory chips so they must shut down or change thier products. again this shows rmbs is new standard. all signs point up. rocky
