Unique Broadband Systems, Inc. delivers the first of
nine high-speed wireless Internet transport systems to Bell Canada

MARKHAM, ON, June 2 /CNW-PRN/ - Unique Broadband Systems, Inc. (VSE: UBS - news) has completed testing and
has shipped the first transport system for Bell Canada's Wireless Internet project. This shipment represents the first of nine
transport systems being built by Unique Broadband Systems, with the remaining eight systems to be shipped within the next 30
days.

The project consists of a point-to-multipoint L-Band and S-Band wideband data network that will provide high-speed wireless
access for up to 74 schools in rural areas of the Thames Valley District School Board and London District Catholic School
Board. Unique Broadband Systems was chosen to supply the backbone of the network, a bi-directional transport system. The
transport system takes the signal from the ATM network at the RF headend via S-Band to the receiver where the signal is then
converted to L-Band and retransmitted to the individual school. The return path operates in the same manner, from L-Band to
S-Band, for retransmission back to the RF headend and the school board offices.

The transport systems designed and manufactured by Unique Broadband Systems for Bell Canada include L-Band and
S-Band transmitters, receivers and transceivers. To meet Bell's requirements, both the transmitters and receivers were modified
to increase efficiency and reliability through redundancy features and other enhancements and the transceivers were custom
designed to meet Bell's specific bandwidth requirements.

''Coupled with our fiber and DSL technology platforms, Unique Broadband Systems' wireless architecture completes the
missing link in building the bridge between urban and rural customer network sites. Working with Unique Broadband Systems,
Bell Canada has developed the unique capability of a broadband solution that reaches 100% of a customer's sites, meeting a
very important customer requirement that helped us win the business.'' states Glenn Ward, Vice President of Broadband
Development at Bell Canada.

''A challenging project with an influential company such as Bell Canada will further establish us a leader in the design and
manufacture of broadband wireless equipment.'' states Alex Dolgonos, President and CEO of Unique Broadband Systems.
