For all its problems, is Schwab worth the $$. Looks as if there are a lot of research benefits and am about to open account. Based on activity, should qualify for signature platinum. Any hooks to look out for. Am not a daytrader but will play short term positions from a few days to several months. Follow the opening and closings but rarely trade during same. It looks like its Schwab or DLJ-direct. Concerned that DLJ reports seem geared to moving companies they underwrite. Are Schwab, H&Q, Credit-Suisse or JP Morgan any different? TIA for your thoughts. Changing brokers is a pain in the *ss.
