Hang in there. Take a break, clear your head. Take care of the important things.

I know the last thing you need is more advice, but I suggest you close all trading positions so you start fresh. Take a one or two day break. Then go for very small gains (1/4, 1/2, whatever, to get your confidence back).

Jim,
If it's any consolation, I know exactly how you feel......

I was up 75% on initial capital ending the first quarter'99 only to now be closing the second quarter sustaining a 40% loss.

That's a 115% spread.
It has been a very expensive past two months. Everything I touch dies within 24 hrs of purchase. The MM's are playing us hard during this slower period of the year.

Wayne said it best a couple of weeks ago, when he said something like we should take the summer off & he'll see us back here in Oct.
Regards, T. :-)

Jim, I know what you mean, I've heard lots of people complaining about having the "kiss of death" lately in this market...I've turned ultra conservative which has helped, used to let my winners go, now I'm locking in small profits...could also be you're distracted with your wife not being well, take a little break & rest maybe....rooting for you!

Jim,
Quick trading or scalping on a limited budget makes the brokers rich. Sometimes it's best to stick with one or two companies and hold thru some of the dips. Often they are as short lived as the spikes.
This method requires more DD, but on less companies. Look back at some of your trades and see if some wouldn't have been more profitable if you held instead of hit and out. Have a mental sell price ready and sell when it hits that. This method works better with listed stocks. The BB's rarely qualify, but some do.

Just a thought,

Fred
