You comment that you would assume that a lot of 100 June calls were written when AOL traded between 80 & 90 and suggest that Perhaps the writers are bringing it back to below 100 for expiry in a couple weeks?
First, you don't have to assume anything. You can just go to the Chicago Board Options Exchange site and look at the open interest (www.cboe.com). Second, how, in a market controlled by supply and demand, do these writers "bring" AOL back to 100? Do they sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth of AOL stock just to move the stock down for an options expiration? What are the mechanics of this evil plan?
