Under the terms of the agreement, Covad will provide DSL facilities and assist ATI with the funding for the marketing of the services; ATI will provide for the distribution of the services. Robert Pickens, Executive Vice President of ATI stated that the agreement provides significant benefits to ATI customers. ATI had looked at partnering with several DSL providers and saw a strategic fit with Covad. Covad Communications is excited to be part of that growth." Covad Communications is in process of finalizing the implementation of its network. Covad's extensive network will be able to provide DSL services to upwards of 75% of area businesses. ATI and Covad Communications expect to begin offering services to customers in July.
