Henry - on surface, WTO is quite difficult. I think the bombing of the embassy is secondary [no, I am not minimizing the fallout. I am sure China will try to milk it, but big players probably see it just another move on a global political chess board.] Also, I doubt China is too concerned about the balkans so long as NATO stays in its own backyard. China is always thinskinned about the tibetan and other muslim minorities issues. It is more important to see how the various factions in the US Congress want to defend their own base and if the WH remains the fence sitter. From the angle, I tend to agree with you totally even though both China and the US know China WTO admission can be a great global economy boaster.
