That article is basically correct. Moreover, one thing I do NOT appreciate is when Europe bullies the third world, out of its own selfish interests. If you think I am kidding, look how Prince Charles cites a number of African nations who supposedly already determined that "GM" crops wouldn't benefit them, and were against them. Can someone please explain how these African nations were able to move faster on this issue than most of the rest of the world? As it is, Europe is only figuring out this technology now. How did "rich" Africa do the necessary studies to form an opinion so quickly? The answer is that Africa DID NOT study this issue at all -- how could they, with the limited resources they have? Instead, Europeans like Prince Charles are forcing their opinions on them...the helpless. It's disgusting. If you think I am just making this up, look at what a think-tank in the UK recently said...the Nuffield Council of Bioethics, a group of independent scientists: (From the news) People in wealthier countries such as Britain with their "anxieties about the very small risks" have no right to deny poorer nations the technology that could help them overcome malnutrition and hunger... This is coming from a well-respected group in the UK! Charles is looking like a "hunger-genocidal Nazi"; i.e., pushing birth control by starvation.
