Hook --> Verant makes sense if he is working on the sequel. This -if true - is some good news! I just hope he continues to be as responsive. Look for these features in HookQuest: * Improved 3D - I ran Everquest on a Riva128 yesterday, and it looked pretty good. The EQ graphics are weak probably to cow to the lesser video cards. * A new combo class that combines the Bard and the Necromancer: the Industrial Musician. Items include the Synthesizer, which can attack with micro-second delay, but drains it's batteries very quickly. Look for the mythical NPC, Trent Reznor. * A pirate class, only so he can make a "Captain Hook" character. * Gnomes will still Tinker items, but now - in reference to 3dfx - they will be allowed to sue other Gnomes for patent infringement. As an EQ rogue, I sure hope Hook plays all the characters. The EQ Ranger is the designer's pet class. Tim
