well you certainly dont know the cost of doing business and how many trades at 200 it takes to pay the overhead. how much of that do you think the house gets? the net will not offer these low commissions forever. as i stated before, many parts of wall street is financing the net startup. the etrades arent pulling a profit? and long term wont be able to fund the risk and rewards of bringing an IPO to market. as long as the market provides the opportunities for day traders, things can go forth. however, the market hasnt always had these wild swings. if you think it will continue for ever, you opinion. im not sticking up for the full service and what i stated above may be off in the near, but i feel the long there will be some equalibrium.
