Elmer, I have no connection to AMD, and I don't even own much stock. AMD's financials don't really concern me, I'm not telling you to buy the stock. I'm telling you not to buy AMD or INTC stock. Because there's gonna be a price war when Intel realizes the K7 will immediately become the best processor in the world at the time of its release and will continue to be well after Coppermine comes out. You don't seem to believe that. That's why I'm posting.

Making money? I make more than enough, thank you. Especially recently with my shorts (er, I mean longs) in AMD and INTC.

Actually, the more I think about it, the better AMD stock itself is looking to me. The average selling price of AMD CPU's will surely rise from the $70-something it's at right now with the K7, and AMD will compete with Intel across a broader front and in more lucrative markets than in the past. It all hinges on their ability to deliver and how Compaq and others are going to market it vs. their other lines.
