Tax Bite. I bet he pays less in taxes a year than I do. Most of his gains are unrealized capital gains. With the army of CPA's and CFP he employs, he doesn't need $46mil to pay taxes. I think at some point the man needs cash for various smaller purchases. I don't think he needs to liquidate portions of his holdings for personal living expenses. I'm sure that's why he likely owns income producing assets such as prefered divided bearing shares and bonds.
